Spencer Elden, the man whose photo as a baby covered Nirvana's legendary nevermind album, is suing the band over allegations of sexual exploitation. The 30-year-old called the images a form of child pornography. What's more, Elden's parents claimed to have never signed a document allowing the use of the image as a cover of the grunge band's album. Nirvana is also said to have promised to cover Elden's infant genitals with stickers. Unfortunately, it proved not to be done so that the image of his private area was widespread. "The images show Spencer's intimate body parts and show Spencer's genitals from the time he was a baby to the present day," the legal documents filed in the California Court said.

On the cover of Nirvana's second album, Elden, who is just four months old, is pictured diving in a blue watery pool. The adorable baby was seen trying to grasp the U.S. dollar bill that was hung with a fishing line in front of him. Elden's lawyer, Robert Y Lewis, said the existence of the dollar made his client look like a sex worker. The money was also added with a touch of post-photo shoot editing.

Elden alleged that his identity and official name should be linked forever because of the experience of sexual exploitation experienced as a baby. What's more, the troubled portrait has been distributed and sold around the world since she was a baby to the present day. As a result of the experience, he claimed to have suffered and will continue to suffer lifelong damage as a result of the artwork.  These disadvantages include extreme and permanent emotional distress, impairments with normal development or educational progress, and the need for medical and psychological care.

This lawsuit is quite shocking to the world and Nirvana fans. Elden had never objected to the album's cover before. He has even re-re-designed the pose several times, including the 10th, 20th, and 25th anniversaries of the album's release with the hit "Smells Like Teen Spirit". The difference is, he wears pants in various poses that he does in adulthood. Spencer Elden is suing 15 people involved in the making of Nevermind's album, including Dave Grohl, the Nirvana drummer who is now the foo fighters frontman.

The lawsuit also drags Courtney Love, the wife of the late Kurt Cobain who was the band's frontman; photographer Kirk Weddle; And some others. As part of the lawsuit, he is seeking $15,000 in damages each from the defendants. Nevermind's album has sold 30 million copies worldwide. The success of this album makes Nirvana as one of the legendary bands even though the group's career is relatively short.
