Crooked Lawyer

I am troubled by a pattern. And am stunned this does not get more attention. In the Trumpomob there is a web of crooked attorneys. That is a kind of 'turbocharging' of the criming conducted around Trump. This is not NEW. Goes back DECADES.

Trump court jester and alleged attorney Evan Corcoran is at Federal Grand Jury today, for Jack Smith's investigation about stolen classified documents - testifying, after courts ruled 'client-attorney privilege' was breached by 'crime-fraud exception'.

So let's start there. The 'client-attorney privilege' is a cornerstone of the legal system. A client, no matter how guilty, must be able to trust that his consultation with his attorney cannot be revealed to a judge or jury or the police, ever. Ever.

The legal system including SCOTUS rulings, is crystal clear about this. Those discussions between client and attorney are sacred. The ATTORNEY cannot represent accurately the client's best interest, unless the client TRUTHFULLY explains the TOTAL story.

CLIENTS cannot DARE to tell the truth to their attorney, if they do not trust, these will never be revealed by that attorney to anyone, not even to that crooked client's "spouse".

Client-attorney privilege is sacred.

BUT is NOT a license to commit crimes.

Because of the obvious temptation to then use an ATTORNEY to HELP PLAN CRIMES - because of that client-attorney privilege protection, the legal exception is 'crime-fraud exception'. All attorneys learn this in law school. Their ethics COMPEL them.

All attorneys know, that if they assist a client in committing a crime (or fraud) they will be disbarred and go to prison. That 'crime-fraud exception' nullifies the 'client-attorney privilege'. Any ethical attorney stops the client, says that is illegal.

We saw what a catastrophic kleptocracy the Trump White House was. But the ATTORNEYS of the White House were constantly telling Trump - you cannot do this, you cannot do that. We saw it vividly in Jan 6th testimony. Trump HATED the White House attorneys.
